Funeral services were held for Herbert Logan Marr, 95, of Oxford Junction at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, at the Hayden Funeral Home, Oxford Junction. Burial was at Sterling Cemtery near Miles. The Rev. Doug Holmgren officiated at the services.

Pallbearers were John Marr, Jr., Herb Marr, Logan Marr, Jr., Russell Marr, Frank Caes and Joe Caes.

Mr. Marr died Monday, January 12, at the Crestridge Care Center, Maquoketa

He was born March 15, 1885 at Sterling, IA, to William and Margaret Viall Marr. On September 30, 1914, he was married to Gertrude McGinnis at Clinton. They farmed all of their married life in Clinton and Cedar Counties.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Genevieve) Caes of Wheatland; three sons, John of Denver, Logan of Monmouth and Norman of Oxford Junction; 18 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, three brothers, one sister, a half-sister and a half brother.
