Services were held for Harold F. Waggoner, 81, July 23 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Anamosa, with the Rev. Victor Nelson officiating. Burial was at the Riverside Cemetery. A Masonic service was held July 22 at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa.

Mr. Waggoner died at his home July 20, following a brief illness.

He was born near Olin, June 26, 1901, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Waggoner. He was married to Eliza Gesine (Lizzie) Weers Sept. 4, 1923, at the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church and the couple farmed near Olin and Onslow until moving to Anamosa in 1958.

Mr. Waggoner was a former member of Zion American Lutheran Church of Wyoming before transferring to St. Paul Lutheran, Anamosa. He was also a member of Fraternity Lodge 619 AF & AM at Onslow.

He is survived by four children, Mrs. Kathryn Orr of Onslow, Galen Waggoner of Cedar Rapids, Paul Waggoner of Onslow and Mrs. Norma Brady of Anamosa; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1960, one brother and his parents.
