Isaac Schneider, Jr., 72, of Monticello, died Monday at the John McDonald hospital. Funeral services were held this Thursday morning at 9:30 from the Devaney Funeral Home in Monticello, to Sacred Heart church. Rev. Eugene Lorenz offered the requiem high mass and officiated at the burial in Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mr. Schneider was born Oct. 21, 1879 in Monticello and attended the schools in Monticello, he was agent for Standard Oil Company until his retirement in 1941. On April 17, 1906 he married Clara Locher, who preceded him in death on June 17, 1910. To this union two daughters were born, Mrs. Carl (Janice) Mullins of New York, N.Y., and Mrs. Larry (Virginia) Robertson, of Monticello.

On Dec. 26, 1911 he was wed to Pearl Barnts in the Sacred Heart church in Monticello by Rev. McCormick.

Survived by his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Carl (Janice) Mullins of New York, Mrs. Larry (Virginia) Robertson of Monticello, Mrs. Geo. (Lois) Hines, Monticello, Shirley, Davenport, and Marjory at home, two sons, Harry Schneider of Omaha, and James Schneider of Monticello. Three sisters, Mrs. Lena Palmer, San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. J. H. Fryberger, Rapid City, S.D., and Frana Schneider of Cresco, Iowa. Eight grand children and several neices and nephews.

Preceded in death by one son, Paul, and one sister, Mrs. Hans Hallauer, Davenport.
