Funeral services for Catherine Margaret Hahn, will be held today, May 24, at the Goettsch funeral home at 1:30 p.m. and from the Castle Grove Lutheran church at 2 p.m. Rev. Paul Kenyon is the pastor in charge of the services.

Catherine Margaret Husmann was one of nine children born to Harm Husmann and Katherine, nee Wilken. She was born Jan. 12, 1878, in Wayne township, and was baptized and confirmed in the Wayne Zion Lutheran church. She became the bride of Gerhard Husmann in 1897. They were the parents of three children, two of whom, Anna and Henry Husmann, remain at home.

Mr. Husmann passed away in 1903 and the following year she was married to Herman Hahn. They became the parents of four children, all of whom survive. They are Lawrence, Monticello; Laura, Mrs. George Heiken, Anamosa, Ida, Mrs. Clifford Kidwell, Anamosa and Alva, of Manchester.

Since 1913 the Hahns have lived in Castle Grove township and are members of the Castle Grove Lutheran church.

For seven years the deceased had suffered from a heart condition and high blood pressure. She became seriously ill on the morning of May 22, and was taken to the John McDonald hospital, where she passed away that afternoon.

In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Wendt of Manchester and seven grandchildren.
