Funeral services were conducted from the Goettsch Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 23, for John H. Brockhohn, who died at the John McDonald hospital the previous Saturday morning.

Born in Wayne township, the son of John and Marla Boedeker Brockhohn on December 8, 1893, he was educated in the rural schools of the vicinity, and later followed the farming vocation.

Mr. Brockhohn never married. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister as well as both of his parents. Surviving are four brothers: Carl, Anamosa; Herman, Scotch Grove; Gerhard, Cedar Rapids, and Harm, Glendale, Calif.

Rev. F. H. Kehren officiated at the funeral services; burial was in the Oakwood cemetery. Pallbearers included Lawrence Brockhohn, Louis Brockhohn, Lawrence Kray, Eugene Dirks, Lawrence Brockhohn, and Alva Brockhohn.
