MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Mrs. Wesley (Edna E.) Borden, 65, were held Saturday afternoon, April 8, at First Congregational church with interment in Oakwood cemetery. The Rev. Glenn D. Bender conducted the services.

Mrs. Borden died at John McDonald hospital April 5 following an illness of several months. She was born Nov. 3, 1901, near Hopkinton, the daughter of John and Marie Schomker Egger. She attended the Delaware county schools and had always lived in the Hopkinton and Monticello areas. On April 27, 1951, she married Wesley Borden.

She was a member of First Congregational church and Schreiner chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband; a step-daughter, Mrs. Richard (Leoda) Thompson of Monticello; a step-grandson; two brothers, Alfred Egger of Manchester and Herman Egger of Hopkinton; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Egger and Mrs. John H. Smith of Monticello.

Pallbearers were W. F. Lamont, Edward Cox, Donald Gearhart, James Guthrie, Joe Messerli and George A. Rickels.
