OXFORD JCT. - Funeral services for Arthur Stevenson, who died Sunday at Jane Lamb hospital, Clinton, were held Wednesday at the Methodist church. The Rev. Nevin Williams officiated. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

He was born April 6, 1885 at Maquoketa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Stevensen. He was married to Tillie Wlach April 8, 1907. He always farmed in this vicinity until his retirement.

Survivors include one son, John of Charlotte; one daughter, Mrs. Emmett (Mary Jane) Forney of Clinton; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Buxton of Wheatland; eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one son, Melvin.
