MONTICELLO - Funeral services for James J. Luensman, 24, were held Saturday at 9 a.m. in Sacred Heart church with Father Ptacek officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mr. Luensman was killed Tuesday, Aug. 30, in a one-car crash 4 miles northeast of Monticello on highway 151. He was born June 15, 1942, the son of Earl and Maxine Nordman Luensman. He was married to Jean Marie McDonald Sept.28, 1963. The couple lived in Cedar Rapids, where Mr. Luensman was assistant manager of Eagles Super Market.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; his parents; six brothers, Jack, Ronald, Steve and Tom of Monticello, Don of San Diego, Calif. and Robert of Hinsdale, Ill.; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Luensman of Farley and his maternal grandfather, George Nordman.

Pallbearers were George Loshbaugh, Larry Svoboda, Robert Hejing, David Allick, Robert Duscher and James Dealy.
