MONTICELLO - Services for Mrs. Joe (Etta) Chaloupka were held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart church with Father Ptacek officiating at the church and the Rev. Kirk at the graveside services.

Mrs. Chaloupka died Wednesday morning, Aug. 21, at Independence. She was born March 25, 1880 in Monticello, the daughter of Barney and Anna Magee. She was educated in Monticello public schools.

She married Joe Chaloupka Nov. 26, 1903. They were the parents of one daughter. Before retiring they farmed in the Monticello area.

Survivors are her husband, Joe; a daughter, Leona Zumbrunnen; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 11 brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers were Claire Aitchison, Bernard Kuriger, C. E. Fothergill, Howard Skelley, James Adams Jr. and Otto Hubbard.
