OLIN - Services for George A. Bonjour, 83, were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the EUB church with the Rev. M. Lloyd Dutro presiding. Burial was held in Oakward cemetery, Monticello.

Mr. Bonjour died in his home in the Newport community, Aug. 29. The son of Alphonse and Aline Cugnet Bonjour, he was born in Corgemont, Switzerland, Jan. 16, 1883. He came to America at the age of 20 and settled in Monticello until 1916 when the family moved to Olin.

He married Ida Grandjean at St. Louis, Mo., May 1, 1911. The couple observed their 55th wedding anniversary this year. Three children, two sons and a daughter were born to the couple. The daughter, Gerogette, died in infancy.

Mr. Bonjour was a member of the Olin EUB church for nearly 50 years and he had served on the church board of trustees.

Survivors include his wife, Ida; two sons, Maurice and Leo, and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Delbert Grafft, Joe Soper, James Whitmore, Wilbur Hansen, Galen Alexander and Glenn Henrichsen.
