MONTICELLO - Funeral services for William Barron, 62, were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic church, with interment at Sacred Heart cemetery. The Rev. Joseph Kirk officiated.

Mr. Barron died Sunday morning, March 26, at John McDonald hospital, Monticello. He was born Oct. 19, 1904, the son of William and Catherine Krebs Barron at Alvord.

He married Mary Smith of Bankston, in 1937. He was employed as a clerk at the Iowa State liquor store in Monticello for six years before his retirement in June 1966.

Survivors include is wife; two sons, John W. of Mt. Pleasant and Richard J. of Monticello; one daughter, JoAnne of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Joseph of Monticello and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Doherty of LeMars, Miss Loretta Barron and Miss Margaret Barron, both of Alvord, and Miss Agness Barron of Chicago, Ill.

Pallbearers were S. E. Locher, Roman Haag, Joe Schmidt, Robert Borman, William Aitchison and William Stuhler.
