WYOMING - Dr. Walter S. Buchholtz, 59, Ames, died at 1 p.m. Monday at Anamosa Community hospital. Services are pending at Ames.

Dr. Buchholtz and his wife spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Katherine Buchholtz at Wyoming, and were enroute back to Ames when he became ill.

Dr. Buchholtz was born at Wyoming, the son of Louis and Katherine Westphal Buchholtz. He graduated in 1925 from Wyoming high school and was a graduate of Iowa State university, Ames. He was a plant pathologist specialist in ISU.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four children.
