MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Mrs. Glenn O. (Naomi) Hargrave, 58, were held Wednesday afternoon at St. Luke's Methodist church in Monticello. She died at John McDonald hospital Monday morning, July 18, after an illness of several weeks.

The Rev. Denton Ericson officiated at the services. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery.

Naomi Rhoades Hargrave was born June 9, 1908, at Wellman, the daughter of William and Trudy Gilder Rhoades. She attended Wellman schools, graduating in 1925, and the University of Iowa for two years.

She married Glenn O. Hargrave April 8, 1934. The Hargraves purchased the dry cleaning business in Monticello in 1939 and have made their home here since then.

Mrs. Hargrave was a member of St. Luke's Methodist church, a past member of the Monticello Business and Professional Women's club, past matron of Schreiner chapter, OES and was Jones county Republican committeewoman.

Mrs. Hargrave was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband; two children, Mrs. Linda Abele and James R. Hargrave and three grandchildren, all of Monticello, and by one sister, Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Simmons, New London.

Pallbearers were Richard Long, William Shaffer, Leo Holub, David Miller, Lyman Perkins and Thomas Hamilton.
