MONTICELLO - Adolph Steuri, 75, died at John McDonald hospital about 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 17. He had been a patient there for several weeks.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 20, at 3 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ with the Rev. Glenn Bender officiating. Burial will be made at Oakwood cemetery.

Mr. Steuri was born Sept. 3, 1890 at Grindelwald, Switzerland, one of 14 children of Gottfried and Susane Steuri. He later came to the United States. He was married to Frieda Lengenhager Nov. 26, 1915. She preceded him in death Dec. 11, 1940. He was a farmer in the rural Monticello area until his retirement in 1955.

Survivors include six children: Otto of Center Jct., Mrs. George (Freida) Eiben of Burlington, Herman, Mrs. Vernon (Edna) Gadient, Paul and Donald Steuri of Monticello; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother Emil of Gindelwald, Switzerland, and one sister, Mrs. Alfred Jacob of Berne, Switzerland.
