OLIN - Funeral services for Mrs. Effie McDonald, 81, were held Saturday afternoon at Hayden Funeral home with the Rev. M. Lloyd Dutro officiating. Burial was in Olin cemetery.

Mrs. McDonald died May 4 at Anamosa Community hospital. She was born at Milo, the daughter of Greenfield and Laura Cruchlow Barker. She was married Jan. 6, 1906 to Owen McDonald. The couple spent all their married life at Olin. Mr. McDonald died in June 1949.

Survivors include three sons, Orville and Willard of Cedar Rapids and Marvin of Westminister, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. George (Alice) Lontz, Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Rosie Williams of Des Moines.
