WYOMING - Funeral services for Nellie Tebo Atherton, 84, were held Thursday in the Wyoming Methodist church with the Rev. Nevin Williams officiating. Mrs. Atherton died Monday, May 16, in Community hospital, Anamosa, following a long illness. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Nellie Tebo Atherton, daughter of Daniel and Harriet Peck Tebo, was born May 21, 1881, at Wyoming. She received her education in the Wyoming public schools. On Jan. 1, 1900, she married Charles N. Atherton. They had one son, Dillon, now of Springville.

Mrs. Atherton was a long-time member of the Methodist church, where she served as church treasurer for many years. She was also a member of Eastern Star and Pleasant Ridge club.

Survivors include her son; one grandson, Ralph of Cedar Rapids, and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Fred, and one sister, Mrs. Ray Heasty.

Pallbearers were Robert Tasker, George Fishwild, Reggie Morse, Lyle Tompkins, Routh Mallicoat and James Huffman.
