MONTICELLO - Mrs. Norman (Ethel Mae) Andrews, 58, died at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, early Wednesday morning, June 1, following surgery a few days earlier. Services were held Saturday, June 4, at 2p.m. at Goettsch Funeral home with the Rev. Howard Eldrenkamp officiating. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery.

Ethel Mae Holmes was born in Monticello, April 29, 1908, to Samuel and Mary Gesie Holmes, and received her education in the Monticello schools.

She married Norman Andrews Nov. 3, 1945, and since then the couple had made their home in Marion.

Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

She is survived by her husband; her step-mother, Mrs. Grace Holmes, Monticello, and two brothers, Samuel E. Holmes, Jr., and Elmer J. Holmes, both of Monticello.
