OLIN - Funeral services for Rose M. Baker Ackerman, 97, were held at Hayden Funeral home at 1:30 p.m. March 16 with the Rev. Robert Jones officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery, Maquoketa.

Mrs. Ackerman died March 13 at the Stoecker Custodial home. Her girlhood was spent in the Iron Hill community in Jackson county.

On March 25, 1910, she married George Ackerman at Pierre, S.D. He died in 1938. Mrs. Ackerman made her home in Olin for many years with her sister, Mrs. Edna Ohlsen.

Surviving include two stepsons, E. P. Ackerman of Washongel, Wash., and J. L. Ackerman of Santa Ana, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. J. G. Nichols of Clinton and Mrs. Nettie Amundson of Albany, Ore.; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
