OXFORD JCT. - Funeral services for George Benhart, 19, who was killed Feb. 28 at Long Manufacturing Co. in Davenport, where he was employed, were held March 3 at the Methodist church with the Rev. Nevin Williams officiating. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mr. Benhart was killed when he was pinned in the seat of a hydraulic lift truck for more than 20 minutes before other employees using two other lift trucks could free him.

He was born in September 1946 near Oxford Jct., the son of George and Blanche Benhart. He attended school in Oxford Jct. and Seattle, Wash.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Nowachek; one brother Kenneth and two half brothers, Richard Benhart and Larry Jensen, all of Oxford Jct. and one half sister, Barbara Temple of the Chicago area.

He ws preceded in death by his father and one brother, Ronald, who was killed in an automobile accident last December.
