MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Mrs. Harry (Sarah) Boots, 76, were held Friday afternoon at Goettsch Funeral home with the Rev. Howard Eldrenkamp officiating. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery.

Mrs. Boots died early Wednesday morning, Feb. 16, at John McDonald hospital. She had had surgery a week previously.

Sarah Louella Quaintance was born Oct. 4, 1889 at New Sharon, the daughter of Morris and Clarina Orcutt Quaintance. She moved with her family to the Monticello community when a small child. She was married to Harry Boots on Aug. 25, 1913 and they continued to live in the Monticello area.

She is survived by her husband; seven children, Mrs. Freddy (Louella) Appleby of Olin, Mrs. Vernon (Loretta) Chapman, Mrs. William (Erma) Ehlts, Harry E., Earl E. and Mrs. Norma Jean Topping, all of Monticello, and Mrs. Glenn (Ruth) Seeley, Viola.

Also surviving are 45 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, three sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers were Harry Boots III, Donald Chapman, Glenn Seeley, Lyle Ehlts, Paul Appleby and Robert Boots.
