ONSLOW - Funeral services for Mrs. Matilda Ellen Bodenhofer, 92, former resident of Jones county, were held Jan. 11 at Carson Funeral home in Maquoketa with Rev. Arthur Holtny officiating. Burial was in South Mineral cemetery.

Mrs. Bodenhofer died Jan. 8 at Jackson county public hospital in Maquoketa following a brief illness. She was born Oct. 2, 1873 at Baydeville, Ark., the daughter of Recie and Nan Watson Harris.

She was married to Alonzo Lee Bodenhofer on April 24, 1899. They moved to Texas in 1924 and came to Iowa in 1930. Mr. Bodenhofer died Jan. 13, 1945.

Survivors include two sons, Ray and Louis on the Monmouth vicinity; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Rene Riggins, Rector, Ark.
