OXFORD JCT. - Funeral services for George Balichek Sr., 75, who died Sunday morning, Jan. 2, at his home after a long illness, were held Tuesday at Hayden Funeral home with the Rev. Ramon Booth officiating. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mr. Balichek was born Aug. 15, 1890 north of Oxford Jct., the son of James and Anna Balichek. He was married to Sophia Pashek in May 1912. They have always farmed.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Louis and George Jr. of Oxford Jct.; two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Blanche) Vacek of Oxford Jct. and Mrs. Anna Nichols of Independence; three sisters, Mrs. Ed Kostichek and Mrs. Tony Bruckner of Oxford Jct. and Mrs. Antone Heyda of Cedar Rapids, and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Edward, one sister and one brother.
