MONTICELLO - Word has been received here of the death of Janssen Conrad Poppe, former Langworthy resident, as Sepulveda, Calif. Burial was held July 1 at Chatworth, Calif.

Mr. Poppe, a native of Jones county, had farmed near Langworthy before moving to the Los Angeles, Calif. area.

He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Maenck of Amber; three children; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and a brother, George of Langworthy.
