MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Thomas H. Edwards, 80, were held Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 14, at Goettsch funeral home. Interment was in South Mineral cemetery, Onslow. The Rev. Glenn Bender conducted the services.

Mr. Edwards died suddenly Dec. 7 at the home of his daughter in Lancaster, Calif. He had lived near Monticello the past few years and was a salesman for livestock feeds.

He was born Jan. 10, 1886, the son of Isreal and Lavina Post Edwards. He married Ethel McMullen March 9, 1913, and the couple lived in the Onslow and Oxford Jct. communities.

Mrs. Edwards preceded him in death Oct. 1, 1946, and a son, Dale, died June 7, 1962.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Jean) Murphy, Lancaster, Calif., and Mrs. L. F. (Glydell) McGuire, Naples, Italy; eight grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Delia Lynch, Onslow.

Pallbearers were Bernard Edwards, Clayton Snyder, John Snyder, Clarence Edwards, Lee Edwards and Arthur Edwards.
