MONTICELLO - Funeral services for Anna Wolbern, 87, were held June 26 from St. Matthew Lutheran church. The Rev. Anton Kirkegaard officiated at the services with burial at Oakwood cemetery.

Mrs. Wolbern died at John McDonald hospital June 24 following a lingering illness. She was born July 17, 1877 at Charlotte, the daughter of Carsten and Wilhelmina Peters.

On Feb. 26, 1907, she was married to Herman Wolbern at St. John's Lutheran church, Monticello. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to North Dakota where they established a homestead, returning to Monticello in 1918.

Survivors include one son Herman, Monticello; a brother, Henry Peters and two sisters, Mrs. Alvina Prull, Monticello, and Mrs. Minnie McVay of Clarence.
