OLIN - William Elias Williams, 62, of Olin, died suddenly at the doctor's office in Mechanicsville Sept. 1.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Hayden funeral home with Rev. Robert G. Jones officiating and Rev. Lloyd Dutro assisting. Burial was in Olin cemetery.

Mr. Williams, the son of Loveless E. and Orpha Woolison Williams, grew up in the Olin community and attended the Olin school. He graduated from Iowa State university at Ames with a degree in animal husbandry.

On Nov. 25, 1931, he married Faith Merritt. They had two children, Bill of Olin and Mrs. Merle (Jean) Arp of Kaduna, Nigeria.

In addition to his children, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Pieper and Mrs. Hazel Hart; one brother, Glenn Williams of Vista, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
