MONTICELLO - Mrs. Barbara H. Rogers, 89, died at the home of her son Rowland in Burlington late Monday afternoon, Dec. 13. Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) from Goettsch Funeral home with interment at Oakwood cemetery. David Guthrie of the Hopkinton Methodist church will officiate.

Born at Davenport, May 27, 1876, she was the daughter of Nickolas and Barbara Hedinger Hallauer. She received her education in the Davenport schools. On Oct. 12, 1898, she married Oscar Rogers at Davenport. They lived in Linn and Jones counties until Mr. Rogers death Dec. 19, 1949. Since then she has made her home with her two children, Rowland at Burlington and Mrs. Delmar (Leota) King of the Castle Grove area. She was a member of the Paniel Presbyterian church.

In addition to her two children, she is survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two sisters, Miss Minnie Hallauer and Mrs. Lydia Thiessen, both of Davenport.
