OXFORD JCT. - Funeral services for Mrs. Joe (Vinnie) Kulhavy, 77, who died Sept. 4, after a long illness were held Sept. 7 at the Methodist church with the Rev. Nevin Williams officiating. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mrs. Kulhavy was born Feb. 1, 1888 in the Oxford Jct. area, the daughter of G. P. and Elizabeth Kimball Tyrill. She was married to Joe Kulhavy Oct. 19, 1909. They farmed southwest of Oxford Jct. for 37 years before retiring to Oxford Jct. in 1946. She attended Teachers college in Cedar Falls and taught for a short time. She was an active member of the Methodist church and served as an officer for both the church board and the WSCS.

Survivors include her husband; one son J. T. of Racine, Wis.; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Esther) Woeber of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Roy (June) Mowry of Lowden and Mrs. Durwood (Helen) Marek of Maquoketa; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Millie Hall of Anamosa, Mrs. Grace Luftus of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Clare Peabody of Denver, Color., and Mrs. Mary Sanderson of Murdo, S.D.
