OXFORD JCT. Word has been received here of the death of Robert Powlista, 75, on May 25 at a veteran's hospital in Denver, Colo. after a long illness. Burial was at Arlington National cemetery.

He was born near Oxford Jct. on April 7, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Powlista. He had never married. He was a World War I veteran and had been in an army hospital at Sheridan, Wyo. for the past 40 years before being hospitalized at Denver.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Henry (Rose) Koranda, Mrs. Alvena Vochoska and Mrs. Harry (Vlasta) Juehring of Oxford Jct. and Mrs. Truman Starr of Wheatland, and two brothers, Louis of Maquoketa and James of Alabama.
