OXFORD JCT. - Funeral services for Manual Powelka, 84, who died Sunday afternoon at the Binion Rest home, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Hayden Funeral home with Rev. Ramon Booth officiating. Burial was at Mayflower cemetery.

Mr. Powelka was born Dec. 24, 1880 on a farm near Oxford Jct., the son of James and Tillie Powelka. He had never married.

Survivors include a nephew, Manford Powelka of Maquoketa and a niece, Mrs. Velma Straka of Oxford Jct.

Pallbearers were Ronald Meade, John Chafney, S L. Schoenthaler, Eldon Rutenbeck, Emile Koranda and L. Binion.
