TEMPLE HILL - Richard Alan Puetz, 9-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Puetz of Temple Hill, was found dead by his father Saturday morning in a 1,200 bushel shelled corn bin. The Cascade volunteer firemen and rescue squad were called. They used the resuscitator to no avail.
Mass of Requiem was offered at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peters church, Temple Hill, by the Rev. Robert J. Saunders. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Richard Alan Puetz was born July 8, 1955 at the farm home. He was a fourth grade student at St. Peters school, belonged to the Holy Childhood Association, and was confirmed on the Tuesday preceding his death.
He is survived by his parents, Anthony and Therese Delaney Puetz; four brothers, Peter, Paul, Roger and Loras; seven sisters, Rosemary, Eileen, Louise, Kathleen, Dianne, Anita and Veronica; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nilles, Prentice, Wis.
Pallbearers were Steven Kremer, Jim Stoll, Ed Stoll, Charles Lane, John Lane and David Manternach.
Honorary pallbearers were Gary Fagan, Alan Welter, Ronald Fagan, David Kremer, Leslie Welter and Terry Manternach.
