CASTLE GROVE - Funeral services were held July 24 for Kenneth Brown Hosford at White Funeral home in Independence. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery, Monticello.

Mr. Hosford was born Aug. 16, 1909 in Castle Grove, the son of Sprague and Katherine Brown Hosford. He was a graduate of the Monticello public school. He was married to Esther Zimmerman in 1933. He served as manager of the Eclipse Lumber yards in Monticello, Anamosa, Manchester and Rowley over a period of 32 years.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Ronald of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Al (Gladys) Boshear, Inglewood, Calif., and two brothers, Lyle and Clarence of Monticello.
