WYOMING - Funeral services for Mrs. Adolph (Malinda Christina) Benning, 76, were held Saturday afternoon at Zion American Lutheran church with the Rev. Robert R. Ahrens officiating. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Mrs. Benning died Sept. 25 at the Brandt Nursing home, where she had been a patient since June 1963. She had suffered a stroke in April 1963.

She was born June 23, 1889 near Wyoming, the daughter of John and Christina Bahnsen. On May 10, 1910, she was married to Adolph Benning. They lived at Dixon and farmed near Calamus and Oxford Jct. before moving to Wyoming in 1937. They continued to live in the Wyoming area with the exception of three years spent in Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors include her husband of Wyoming; one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Hall, Kansas City, Mo.; one son, Ray of Wyoming; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Matie Martins and Mrs. Josephine Myers, both of Westside; three brothers, John T. and Elmer Bahnsen of Wyoming and Solomon Bahnsen of Oxford Jct.
