MONTICELLO - Mrs. Caroline Berry, widow of the late G. L. Berry and former resident of Monticello, died March 6 at Ottawa, Kan.

Funeral services were Tuesday morning from Goettsch Funeral home with the Rev. John Benj. Wild, pastor of First Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was at Oakwood cemetery.

Born July 24, 1890 in Monticello, Mrs. Berry was the daughter of Isaac and Louise Haeussler Schneider. She was educated in the Monticello schools and served as a nurse at Fort Des Moines during World War I. She was married to G. L. Berry and they later made Blackwell, Okla. their home.

She was a member of the Blackwell Presbyterian church and the American Legion Post Auxiliary No. 7. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include a son Jack P. Berry of McAlester, Okla.; one daughter, Gretchen, Mrs. Jack Kille of Ottawa, Kan.; eight grandchildren; one brother, Carl Schneider and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Maurice and Mrs. J. C. (Edith) Bender, all of Monticello.
