CENTER JCT. - Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, March 2, at 1:30 p.m. for Frank D. Sutherland, 86, who died at John McDonald hospital Feb. 25. Services were held from the Scotch Grove Presbyterian church with the Rev. John C. Beran officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sutherland was born near Scotch Grove, Oct. 24, 1878, the son of John and Caroline Espy Sutherland. He spent his entire life in the Center Jct. and Scotch Grove areas with the exception of two years spent in Saskatchewan, Canada, prior to his marrying the former Blanch Clark at Scotch Grove March 26, 1913. Following their marriage, they lived in Scotch Grove township. Mrs. Sutherland died July 11, 1953. He was a member of the Scotch Grove Presbyterian church.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Edwin H. (Eloise) Helgens of Scotch Grove; one brother John Sutherland of Mount Clair, Calif. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, two sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers included Howard Zirkelbach, Paul E. Paulsen, Edwin Knight, Howard Boots and Arthur Wilcox.
