OLIN - Funeral services were held in Cedar Raids Tuesday, Feb. 23, for Melvin Hotz, 50, who died suddenly Feb. 20 from a heart attack. Burial was in Czech National cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Hotz was born in Olin and grew up in the community. He had been employed at Collins Radio, Cedar Rapids since 1956.

He was a World War II Veteran and held the Bronz Star.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, a sister, Mrs. Theodore Clothier, Olin; five brothers, Ervin and Mervin Hotz, Olin; Ernest, Lisbon; Harlan, Cedar Rapids and Eldon, Marion.
