MONTICELLO - Funeral services for George Nordman, 85, Monticello, were held Tuesday at Sacred Heart church, with interment at the Sacred Heart cemetery. The Rev. John Ptacek officiated.

Mr. Nordman died at John McDonald hospital Saturday, Feb. 4, at 5 p.m.

He was born March 20, 1881, the son of Henry and Sophia Johansen Nordman. He married Mable Kane, who died in 1944. His second wife, Laura Waddick preceded him in death in 1954.

Surviving are three sons, George and Dean of Cedar Rapids and Donald of Hopkinton; two daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Antonnette) Howie and Mrs. Maxine Luensman of Monticello; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Clair Aitchison, Norbert Manternach, Sr., Martin Buol, John Kray, Fritz Iaggi and Charles Tuttle.
