OLIN - Funeral services for Mrs. Lorna Pruess Merlo, 42, were held at 10 a.m . Friday in St. Mary's Catholic church, Mechanicsville. The Rev. P. J. Casey read the Requim Mass.

Mrs. Merlo died Wednesday at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, where she had surgery the previous week. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Pruess and was reared in the Olin vicinity, graduating from Olin high school.

Surviving are a daughter, Martha, a junior at Lincoln high school; a son William stationed with the U.S. Navy at Hawaii; and a brother, Melvin Pruess, Olin.
