WYOMING - Mrs. Cora A. Hutton, 83, Wyoming died Tuesday, Jan. 5 at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, following a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 8, at 10:30 a.m., at the Hayden Funeral home, Wyoming. Rev. Wayne Norris conducted the service. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers included Charles Hartman, Don Molsberry, James Hutton, Lester French, Kenneth Kennedy and Marvin Hunwardsen.

Rebekah lodge services were held Thursday evening, at 7:30, at the Funeral home.

She was born Dec. 29, 1881, daughter of Isaac N. and Jane Orr French, Onslow. She attended rural school in Jones county, high school at Monticello and business college in Cedar Rapids. Following the death of her mother in 1903, she remained in the home to care for the family until her father's death in 1912.

She was married March 28, 1916 to Forrest Hutton at Monticello. Couple lived in Montana for a time, then returned to Wyoming where they made their home for about eight years, and Mr. Hutton operated a delivery service.

They purchased a farm southeast of Hopkinton and resided there for several years. From Hopkinton they moved to Cedar Rapids, where Mr. Hutton was employed by Iowa Manufacturing Co. Later they purchased a farm north of Wyoming where they lived until his retirement, after which they moved into Wyoming.

With the exception of a few months spent in Anamosa, following the death of her husband, Dec. 11, 1945, Mrs. Hutton continued to reside in Wyoming.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church and a 50-year member of Rebekah lodge, Wyoming.

Survivors include two brothers, George French, Los Angeles, Calif., and Clifford French, Cookeville, Tenn., one sister, Frances, Mrs. Neil Adams, Ames; and several nieces and nephews.

Beside her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.
