MONTICELLO - John Iaggi, 82, died suddenly Tuesday morning, June 8, at his home from a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 o'clock from Peace United Church of Christ, Monticello. The Rev. John Siegle will officiate. Burial will be made at the Oakwood cemetery.

Born Sept. 22, 1882 in Switzerland, he was the son of Peter and Mary Moser Iaggi. He came to the United States when he was 20 years old and settled in Monticello. On Sept. 28, 1916, he was married to Christina Dietiker of Monticello. They farmed near Monticello until 1951 when they moved to their present home in Monticello. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, George of Monticello; one daughter, Marguerite, Mrs. Leonard Bader of Monticello; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and one brother, Fred of Monticello.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and six sisters.

Pallbearers will include Fred H. Poppe, George Mardorf, Frank Schneiter, Paul Arduser, Lawrence Heeren and Vernon Null.
