CASCADE - Funeral services for Vernon P. Weber, 55, were held Saturday at St. Martin's church, Cascade, with burial in Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Weber died June 23 at University hospital, Iowa City. He was a stock buyer for two packing companies and had served several terms on the Cascade city council. He managed the Cascade Red baseball club for more than 15 years. He was married Oct. 24, 1934 to Lillian Schlemme in Monticello.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Sister Mary Vernon, B.V.M., Kansas City, Mo., and Arlene at home; four sons, LaVern of Cascade and Lawrence, Ronald and Dennis, all at home; two grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Art Kula, Anamosa; three brothers, Francis of Arcola, Sasketchewan, Canada, Lewis of Prairieburg, and John of Monticello.
