WYOMING - Eugene Edwin Young died July 16 at his home in Wyoming. Funeral services were held July 19 with Rev. Ahrens officiating. Burial was in Clay cemetery at Onslow. IOOF held graveside services and was assisted by American Legion Post 259.

Pallbearers were Allison Fishwild, Robert Alden, Martin Petersen, William Peck, Frank Fritz and Robert Zaruba.

Eugene Edwin Young, son of Albert and Olive Young, was born Nov. 28, 1889, at Center Jct. He spent most of his life in the Wyoming vicinity, having worked as a thresher assistant for several years, at the Kleineck garage and for the Buckingham brothers. He received his education at Onslow.

He served in World War I and was a member of the American Legion post at Wyoming for 47 years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge, serving as Noble Grand at the time of his death, and of the Madonna Rebekah lodge. He served a term as Herald of the Grand Lodge of Iowa and had served in several offices of the Patriach Militants of Maquoketa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Harry Weil, and one brother, Harry Young, both of Manchester.
