OLIN - Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Hayden Funeral home for David S. Thumma, 71, who died at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, June 7. The Rev. John Schlosser conducted the service. Military services were conducted by Blayney Miner Post, American Legion. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.

Mr. Thumma was born July 28, 1893 near Mechanicsburg, Pa., and came to Cedar Rapids and Marion vicinity at the age of 17. He had made his home the past two years at Anamosa prior to entering the Oxford Jct. Nursing home. He was a World War I veteran.

Survivors include three brothers, Alvin, Olin; Maynard, Kingstown, Pa., Elmer, Mechanicsburg, Pa.; six sisters, Mrs. William Shank, West Fairview, Pa., Mrs. Jacob Kutz, Mechanicsburg, Pa.; Mrs. John Hemperly, Fowlmouth, Pa., Mrs. Ford Caffman, Stealton, Pa., Mrs. Whitie Shaub, Harrisburg, Pa., and Mrs. Calvin Richner, Everson, Wash.
