OXFORD JUNCTION - Last rites were held here Wednesday morning, Jan. 28, from the Sacred Heart church for Mrs. Elizabeth Souhrada Burda, 84. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mrs. Burda, who had been a long time resident of Oxford Junction community, died in a hospital at Kansas City, Mo., after a long illness. She was born in Bohemia and came to America when a young girl. She had lived in Oxford Junction; both before and after her marriage to Jacob Burda. For some time they farmed east of Oxford Junction, later moving to Butler, Mo.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Divoky and Mrs. Fred Becker, Kansas City, and a son, Arthur, Butler. Other relatives are three grandsons and a half-brother, Michael Souhrada, and a half-sister, Mrs. Anna Hicks, Oxford Junction.
