Service for Mrs. William L. Brady, 71, who died Sunday night in Mercy hospital, was held Wednesday afternoon in the Smykil Home for Funerals. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, pastor of the United Brethren church, Olin, officiated. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.

Nellie Aletha Emerson, daughter of Charles and Mary Emerson, was born Feb. 17, 1876, at Olin. She was educated in the rural schools of Rome township. On Dec. 24, 1894, she was married to Mr. Brady who died Dec. 8 of last year. She had been living with her son Robert.

Five children survive. They are Robert L. Brady, Miss Bernice Brady and Mrs. Jessie Jerome, Anamosa; Mrs. Ruth Wood, Olin, and Mrs. Pearl Weaver, Tipton. A brother, Charles Emerson, Sioux Falls, S. Dak., three half brothers, two half sisters, 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
