Funeral service for Leo W. Brickley, 53, was held Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic church. Mr. Brickley died Sunday night, at Veteran's hospital, Des Moines, after an extended illness.

Rev. J. A. McMahon read the funeral mass. Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery.

For a number of years Mr. Brickley was an electrician at the Men's reformatory. He was a veteran of world war I.

Military funeral rites were conducted by Arthur McCullough post of the American Legion. Firing squad was composed of Charles A. Rahn, Donald Goodman, Alfred Snyder, Ralph Miller, James White, Cecil Blayney, J. C. Burke and Leigh Pearson with William Stroud in charge. Taps were played by Ray Milverstead.

Mr. Brickley was born in Anamosa on Jan. 3, 1894 and spent most of his life here. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nell Brickley and two daughters, Miss Lois Brickley, Anamosa and Mrs. William Okey, Oak Park, Ill., one grandson also survives.

Pall bearers were John McCrea, Glen J. McLaughlin, Frank Hayes, James Connelley, A. Joe Kelly and Milton Chesire.

McNamara funeral home was in charge of the service. Rosary services were held Monday night at the home with members of Anamosa council Knights of Columbus attending in a body.
