OXFORD JUNCTION - Final rites were held Friday afternoon at the funeral home, Oxford Junction, for David A. Kelly, 71, who died in his home here at 2 a.m. Wednesday, May 14. He had been an invalid for the past seven years.

Rev. Robert Sterling conducted the service. Casket bearers were Amos Hodgden, Fred McClure, Forest McClure, John Wosoba, Austin Conwell and Michael Souhrada. Interment was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mr. Kelly was born at Marshalltown, January 2, 1876, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kelly. He was married to Ellen Hendersen at Keota in 1900. He was a veteran of the Spanish American war. In 1928 couple came to Oxford Junction.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Eugene and Clarence, Oxford Junction, and five daughters, Mrs. Mabel Mott, Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Ida Petersen, Chicago; Mrs. Helen Dorr and Mrs. Florence Buchanan, Belmond, and Mrs. Marcella York, Memphis, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Nathaniel, Los Angeles, Calif.; John, North English, and Omer, Belmond, and one sister, Mrs. Susan Fuller, Thornburg, Nebr.
