Funeral service for Charles E. Bauserman, 76, who died Saturday after a long illness, was held Monday at 2 p.m. in Smykil Home for Funerals.

Rev. Walter D. Wigger, pastor of the Anamosa Baptist church, officiated. Burial was in Forest cemetery.

Mr. Bauserman, son of Amos and Mary Bauserman, was born May 28, 1871, at Belle Plaine. He served with the Army in the Philippines during the Spanish-American war. He was married to Miss Effie Meeks, Anamosa, in 1908, and worked as guard at the State Reformatory.

He is survived by his wife; five sons, Charles Leslie, Arthur Stanley and John Willard Bauserman, all Cedar Rapids, Clifford Niles Bauserman, Iowa City, and Keith Bauserman, San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Dawn Brecht, Coralville, and Mrs. Beatrice Jordan, Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Dawn Taullis and Mrs. Blanche Wilkerson, and 10 grandchildren.
