WYOMING - Charles Mullett, 91, Wyoming, died Monday, Dec. 14, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 1:30 p.m. at the Hayden Funeral home, Wyoming. Rev. Robert Ahrens conducted the service. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robert Alden, John M. Petersen, Charles Sheldon, Lyle Tompkins, Roy Tompkins and Edwin Westphal.

Charles Todd Mullett was born Nov. 2, 1873, son of Jerome and Jane Sheldon Mullett, Jones county. In his youth he farmed and later was engaged in carpenter work. His entire life was spent in Jones county.

Before his retirement he served as town night marshal for Wyoming for four years. May 12, 1934 he was married to Edith Jones, Wyoming.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Shirlee, Mrs. John Johnson, Stockton, Calif., and Phylis, Mrs. Milo Korando, Wyoming; one son, PFC Richard Mullett, Fort Benning, Ga., and a son by a former marriage, Floyd Mullett, Preston; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two children.
