11 September 1947 - The Anamosa Journal

WYOMING - Found dead in his bed Tuesday at 7 p.m. was Nathaniel Benjamin Little, 77, in his room at the William McCalmant home in Wyoming. An old age pensioner, Mr. Little had been seen alive last about noon of Mr. McCalmant.

Mr. Little had been in ill health for sometime, having spent 10 days in Mercy hospital at Anamosa in January, 1946.

Death was pronounced as resulting from natural causes when case was investigated by Justice George W. Ireland, Wyoming, and Deputy Sheriff Louis Dreibelbis, Anamosa. Justice Ireland acted in the absence of County Coroner Frank L. Harrington, who was away from Wyoming on vacation. Death apparently occurred shortly after noon Tuesday.

Funeral arrangements await arrival of relatives, including a son, Robert Little, Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Elma Berkholder, Cleveland, Ohio, a brother at Springville and a sister in Cedar Rapids.

Nathaniel Little was born Dec. 16, 1870 at Westport, Mass. He came to Janes county in 1936.
